Welcome to the 2012 Walton Track and Field Season

The coaching staff is very excited for what the 2012 season has in store. Walton returns many talented veterans and is welcoming in another large class of new athletes. The athletes and coaching staff are working very hard to prepare for the season that will begin with our first meet on February 29th at Walton. This year’s team has a chance to be one of the best in school history. The girls’ team brings back some great depth in almost all of the events and is poised to challenge for the County and Region titles as well as qualifying many for the State Meet in May. The boys program has some very talented returners and new comers that will keep it to the high level that was set last year. Whether a new or veteran athlete, sprinter or distance runner, hurdler or field event athlete; the 2012 season will offer some great opportunities for competing against the best in the county, region, state and the southeast. We hope to see many parents out volunteering at meets and cheering on their Raiders at home and away.
